Some of our favourite Auckland names are creeping into the rebuild of our city. Supreme Supreme has hit Christchurch, and we couldn’t be more chuffed.
The clean cut, industrial-vintage vibes set the perfect scene for a leisurely brunch or quick coffee. You can easily tell that Supreme Supreme is a hipster coffee buff’s wet dream. Previously a local Landrover dealership, the space is now blessed with onsite parking that is a rare novelty in our national centre’s inner circles.
The place is pouring with soda water, hot or cold coffee, and liquid treats from Wellington’s Six Barrel Soda Co. Supreme Supreme certainly holds the young audience captive within the city centre.
The establishment prides itself on quick and friendly service. The staff is clad in blue jeans, white tees, and tasteful red lipstick. The American diner subtleties are a refreshing change from the more full-on hospitality trend further north.
If you’re hungry, you may be tickled by their no-fuss breakfast fodder—eggs how you like them, jerk chicken, hot smoked salmon, or perhaps the skirt steak. Also, on the counter, they have sweet treats to tempt your mid-afternoon cravings (no paleo or agave here, people). Perhaps they could even tempt you to a chocolate fish shake—how quaintly Kiwiana.
With unfaultable service, decor, and seamless coffee service, it appears Supreme Supreme is here to stay. Coffee geeks of the South rejoice as a good strong brew from the people who brought us “The Good One” and Smith Street Cafe in Melbourne brings in the goods. Grab a cup of joe, and you’ll see.
