P&O Cruises‘ Pacific Pearl sets off on the cruise line’s first New Zealand circumnavigation, featuring a maiden call to Stewart Island. The voyage around NZ is one of the highlights of her five-month season of cruises from Auckland.
With 1800 guests on board, the 10-night cruise is expected to inject more than $3 million into the local economy as Pacific Pearl calls to Napier, Wellington, Chirstchurch (Akaroa), Picton and Stewart Island.
In total, the cruise ship will port to 11 different NZ ports during the season, featuring 20 cruises to NZ and South Pacific destinations.
Before it set voyage to Napier yesterday afternoon/evening, P&O Cruises invited us to join them in celebration of its historic milestone.
Our tour inside the Pacific Pearl ended with a delightful lunch at the Salt Grill, with oysters and wine in hand. The three-meal course was ah-mazing (see photos below). It was great to meet the amazing crew behind each endeavor, as well as a fine dining experience.
