Being one of the few lucky people who were the first to try the burger, we were pretty freakin’ excited (cue happy dance). The night started off with The Dalmore Whisky tasting; aka learning how to taste whisky like a pro. Finally, the night ended with this velvety goodness right here:
We swear the moment that plate landed on our table, the level of hunger went off the roof. The Blue Velvet features NZ free-range grilled Venison patty and Puhoi Valley Creamy Blue cheese, blackcurrant and red onion preserve, relish and aioli plus the essential salad you’d expect from the BurgerFuel menu.
The wholemeal bun complemented the texture of the Venison. All the flavours go perfectly together, especially how the blackcurrant balances the taste of the creamy blue cheese. We may be a bit obsessed with their aioli too, oops.
You guys, there’s nothing better than a good gourmet burger. We recommend partnering this with a glass of whisky for the most elegant experience. Burger party? I think YAS!
