Ada: Your Virtual Health Companion On-the-Go

Uni students often forget the most valuable detail in their busy lives – their health. Let’s be honest here, we’ve all neglected its importance at some point. I’ve learnt that it doesn’t matter how good I am at balancing school with career and friends, I always fall behind because of bad health habits. So, when I found out about the new app, Ada, I immediately downloaded it on the Apple App Store and gave it a go!

I believe Ada is the health companion that we have been waiting for. Forget ‘Googling’ a symptom and getting overwhelmed by diagnosis problems. When you’re using Ada, you’re basically talking to an advanced virtual health service that will assess your symptoms.

I think the most important element of this App, compared to a regular Google search, is that Ada asks the right questions based on your symptoms. With these queries, a more accurate understanding of your current health situation will help you decide what course to take.

Alberllie is a graduating Communications student at Auckland University of Technology. Like most Uni students, she juggles Uni work with internships and social life. And like you, she forgets to look after her health with sleepless nights and an unbalanced diet; leading her to become more prone to sickness.

Alberllie was feeling unwell with a mild headache and neck pain, so I recommended Ada to help her figure out what she’s experiencing. This was a recurring symptom which happened twice in the same week. After entering her symptoms and other relevant information, she called her doctor with Ada’s assessment report which made the whole process much easier. Quick, clear and straightforward.

As you continue to use Ada, it promises to record your important health information, like allergies and medications, to maintain an overview of your health situation. It makes doctor visits portable with a library of your symptoms in hand as Ada pre-briefs the health professional. The future of a virtual health assistant is here and it’s highly accessible for everyone, wherever they may be. Feeling a bit unwell lately? Ada can help you!

Available to download through the Apple Apps Store.
