Five Fun Things To Do This November

The end of 2016 is shaping up fast, and summer is basically here, which means there is a lot of fun to be had and a lot of food to be eaten. If you’re at Uni, that means your semester will be wrapping up, and you will be looking for ways to celebrate and relax. How – you may ask?

Here’s a list of events this November that you can do to enjoy the extra hours of sun in the evening which will ease you into summer. Auckland is doing it best this month with a variety of events that can be attended across the city, by you and your friends or family.

Urban Street Festival – 10 November

After a successful festival in September, Urban Street Fest is back this November to grace us with urban vibes and undoubtedly delicious bites. Held at ‘Wolf of Water Street’ (coolest name ever) in Grafton, it’s not too much of a hike from Auckland CBD. Pop through after work from 5-9pm for live music and a variety of food vendors.

 

The Federal Street Festival – 11-12 November

Not to be missed, Federal Street (outside Skycity) closes Friday and Saturday to host the Federal Street Festival. With a party atmosphere on Friday evening kicking off at 5pm, they have acts such as Che Fu and Ladi6 playing throughout the evening. Round two begins again on Saturday from 2pm with a more family orientated vibe.

Noodle markets – 30 November – 4 December

The Noodle Markets are coming to Auckland… finally! With The Noodle Markets being very successful in Queenstown and Wellington, it’s Auckland’s turn to experience the phenomenon. Of course, there won’t just be noodles, but with free entry and a bucket load of vendors, there is no doubt it will be a wildly delicious event. You have five nights to make it, rain or shine, starting 30 November in Victoria Park. Udon want to miss this.

 

Movies in the Square – now to February 2017

Free outdoor movies anyone? Cosy up these summer nights to Movies in the Square at NorthWest Shopping Centre and enjoy a family friendly movie on a Friday night. Bring a blanket, some pillows and snacks, and enjoy a giant screen set up of your favourite movie. Be there or be square. See the line-up of movies HERE.

 

Bombay Sapphire Project Botanicals – 9 November – 20 November

If you want something more glamorous this November, head along to Project Botanicals, a pop-up bar on Galatos Street for two weeks. For $55 you get two cocktails and two paired food dishes, and a two-hour dining slot. Ten cocktails and ten dishes have been created, each inspired by one of the ten botanicals found inside the famous Bombay Sapphire bottle.
